Southern Cricket Frog

Acris gryllus
(Le Conte, 1825)
Okefenokee Swamp, Ware Co., Georgia. April 21, 2003.

Found hunkered down on a wet road at night near the entrance to the swamp. In those days, this frog was considered to be Acris gryllus dorsalis, the Florida cricket frog, but all subspecies of gryllus have been sunk.
