Sonoran Nightsnake

Hypsiglena chlorophaea chlorophaea
Cope 1860
Pima Co., Arizona. August 2, 2000.

My first chlorophaea was found near Sasabe, on a night of road cruising where every other snake encountered was a Mojave rattlesnake (Crotalus scutulatus). The photos are lost, the specimen pictured is from near Phoenix, Arizona.

My Flickr album for this species is here.

HerpMapper records for this species are here.
