Senticolis triaspis intermedia
(Boettger 1883)
Sonora, Mexico. August 23, 2015.
This snake was found at night, crossing a dirt road running through tropical deciduous forest in southern Sonora. Senticolis aren’t among the most commonly seen snakes in this region, but there’s no doubt they’re one of the more spectacular species.
