Northern Desert Iguana

Dipsosaurus dorsalis dorsalis
(Baird & Girard, 1852)
San Diego Co., California. April 4, 2012.

This lizard was spotted in a clump of thick brush on a low rise. Dipsosaurus take advantage of cover under brush, and their burrows are usually close by.
