Mexican Mud Turtle

Kinosternon integrum
Le Conte, 1854
Southern Sonora, Mexico. August 24, 2014.

This turtle was found on a wet road after dark, ‘above’ the town of Alamos. The slight keel and the reticulations on the head and neck distinguish this turtle from the Alamos mud turtle (Kinosternon alamosae), which also occurs in the area.
