Agalychnis dacnicolor
(Cope, 1864)
Sonora, Mexico. August 24, 2011.
I had worked with captive dacnicolor back in the 90’s, so it was quite a thrill to see my first wild one ‘walking’ across a dirt road just after sunset. They often turn up on the roads around Alamos at night, and a good rain will bring them out in force. This species was removed from the genus Pachymedusa by Faivovich et al. in 2010.
