Pseudacris ocularis
(Holbrook, 1838)
Okefenokee Swamp, Georgia. March 11, 1978.
I saw a number of these tiny frogs a few miles outside of the swamp all those many years ago. They seem to travel in small groups, so to speak – at first I thought I had stumbled into a flight of small grasshoppers. The photos are lost; pictured here is an ocularis observed near Tellfair, Georgia, in 2016.
