Pristimantis acuminatus
(Shreve, 1935)
Madre Selva field station, Depto Loreto, Peru. January 17, 2013.
Some pristimantids can be difficult to identify, but this is one of the easier ones. The dorsum is smooth, with a pastel blend of browns, reds and greens (one color may dominate). A dark stripe passes from the nose, eye, and tympanum, breaking up into spots on the flank. Iris of the eye is a dark, reddish-brown.
