Nerodia floridana
(Goff, 1936)
Miami-Dade Co., Florida. July 17, 2016.
The first snake I stopped for in the Everglades. The photos show how the snake looked when I drove up – head off the ground, and the neck flattened. In the Everglades, and in July, the mosquitoes are amazingly thick and nasty at night, making roadside photos a challenge.
